Four IBEC commissioners Juliana Cherera, Francis Wanderi, Irene Masit, and Justus Nyang’aya issued a joint statement over their brief presser yesterday at Serena Hotel.
The four-point state that the total percentage couldn’t add up. Vice-chairperson of IEBC Juliana Cherere claims that the total percentage that Mr.Chebukati had totaled 100.01% This percentage according to Cherera doesn’t beat logic—stating that 0.1% of 14 million translates to 142,000 votes.
Mr.Wafula Chebuka, the returning officer for the presidential polls, announced the presidential results yesterday where Dr.William Ruto won by 50.48%, which translates to 7,176,141 votes. Raila got 48.84% which is equivalent to 6,942,930.
The commissioners didn’t process the results and they were out in the dark. They were not available to do the tallying.
