Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu Njeri was the talk of town for the better part of Sunday after her story of having rent arrears was shared by one of the local dailies.
Nyamu is being accused of failing to pay rent at Runda’s Graceville Villas amounting to 1.25 million and is at risk of losing her property to auctioneers.
According to the publication, Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate A.H. Nyoike directed the Runda Police Commander to ensure a court order granted to auctioneers on November 11, 2024 is being enforced.
Karen Nyamu who is always seen traveling to exquisite destination and enjoying life was quickly accused by netizens of having her priorities wrong . Some wondered if the Senate had financial lessons for its disguised members.
Answering a concerned colleague, the Senator said that much is under wraps and the whole story is not yet out.
