Embakasi East Member of Parliament Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino has started representing clients in court officially. Today he had the privilege of practicing law days after being admitted in the bar.
The MP first case involved two individuals who are facing publication of false information after allegedly inciting Gen Zs to go to the statehouse, a restricted area.
“Today I appeared before Hon.Alego at Milimani Court to represent Suleiman Wanjau Billali and Robert Otiti Elwak who were charged with the offense of publication of false information contrary to section 23 of the computer misuse and cybercrimes Act No 5 of 2018,” said Babu Owino.
The vocal legislator vowed to defend the rights of everybody and ensuring that every voice is heard.
“This is only the beginning of a long journey, and I remain committed to the cause of justice and the rule of law.”
Babu Owino joins a number of elected Mps who are both representing their constituents and actively practicing law by representing their clients in court.
