Commission for University Education (CUE) says Northwestern Christian University not accredited

‎The Northwestern Christian University that operates in Kenya is not accredited according to the latest update from The Commission for University Education (CUE).

‎The CUE clarification comes hours after directed tha the honorary degree conferred to Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi to be revoked.

‎The commission says awarding academic qualifications by unaccredited institutions is a direct violation of the Universities Act, CAP 210.

‎Other notable legislators who will be affected by this move include Didmus Barasa and John Waluke who have degrees from Northwestern Christian University.

‎Netizens and other professional bodies have expressed their dissatisfaction on how some individuals are awarded by some institutions.
