There was witnessed chaos yesterday at Furaha City Festival in Nairobi Polo Club Grounds after Willy Paul performed before Diamond Platnumz forcing Diamond to fail to perform.
Immediately after Tanzania singer Rayvanny had finished his performance, the MC Willis Raburu went on to hype fans to be ready for bongo artist Diamond Platnumz. This never settled well with the revellers who started chatting “Pozze” demanding Willy Paul to perform first.
According to reliable sources, Willy Paul was supposed to perform before Diamond Platnumz who was the main act of the day but the schedule was changed at the last minute.
The chants that lasted almost ten minutes forced the organizers to call Willy Paul on stage to perform.
This was not even easy for Willy Paul since he had to fight the bouncers who had restricted his entrance to the stage. He finally managed to have his way to that stage with his twenty dancers.
According to the Saldido International Label owner, Diamond Platnumz is a big artist who is recognized globally and he doesn’t understand why Diamond couldn’t’t allow him to perform before him.
“Diamond Paltnumz is a big artist who has inspired many including me, I was happy to have a curtain raise for him but I have been treated badly including from my own Kenyan people, ” Willy Paul decried.
