Eric Omondi dares police to arrest him again

Comedian Eric Omondi has warned the police from arresting him again. Eric has been a guest of the state several times now, a trend that many think he enjoys.

Omondi says many times he has been taken behind bars was for a good reason. He defends himself saying the police take at least nine to eleven hours figuring on what grounds to charge him.

“Every time they arrest me, they take much time to figure out what to charge me with because there’s usually none,” says Omondi.

The self-proclaimed president of Comedy Africa was arrested on Monday in Nairobi for protesting over the high cost of living. He was later charged and released on a cash bail of five thousand shillings.

Eric has vowed to return to the streets for another 14 days until his grievances are met. He says he is fighting for the reduction of the cost of living.
