DAP-Kenya Party leader Eugene Wamalwa on Monday announced his decision to run for presidency in the 2027 polls .
Wamalwa made this declaration on Monday during the official launch of his party’s headquarters office in Karen. The former Cabinet Secretary clarified that he had the party’s blessings to be its flag bearer. Adding that the party never fronted any presidential candidate since the party was under the Azimio La Umoja coalition and supported the coalition’s presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
”I took over this party on January 14, 2022. This party honoured me to be the flag bearer in the presidential race in 2027.”
Wamalwa who hail from the Western region of Kenya hinted at forming a possible political coalition with his friends to fuel his chance of clinching the top seat in the country.
During the event , former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka among other leaders were present.
