Gachagua backs Ruto move of sacking cabinet

Kenyan Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has lauded President William Ruto for sacking his entire Kenya Kwanza cabinet.

Speaking during a function in Elgeyo Marakwet, Rigathi praised the president’s move terming it as a good turning point to move the country forward. He urged Ruto to seek individuals who will help him steerr the country forward.

“I am happy that you dismissed your entire cabinet, now look for people who will help you run the government effectively, ” Gachagua said.

The second in command insisted that Ruto should look for competent cabinet secretaries who are not arrogant and who will respect their duties.

“Look for people who won’t entertain politics but will help you to make this country great,” Gachagua added.

Gachagua pledged support to his boss saying he is behind him a hundred percent.

The Kenyan President dismissed his entire cabinet and only retained the position of deputy President and that of the prime cabinet secretary. The holder of the Deputy President position can only be impeached by members of Parliament under various instances.

Ruto’s decision was triggered by Gen Z protests who are demanding accountability from the government.
