The late Chief of Defense Forces General Francis Ogolla though he was a calm man, his unannounced presence sent people into panic mode. Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was one of the victims.
During the General Ogolla sendoff ceremony held at Ulinzi Sports Complex in Langata, Nairobi, Gachagua cracked the mourners’ ribs about his strange encounter with Ogolla.
The DP said one morning Ogolla showed up in his office with a card in his hand and he panicked.
“Late February this year the General came without notice to my office. In ordinary circumstances when the CDF comes to your office without notice you sort of panic. He came to my office holding a big card saying he had come to wish me a happy birthday and I didn’t even know it was my birthday.” Gachagua revealed.
