Gachagua says Ruto is a frustrated man

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has distanced himself from allegations of being tribalist from President William Ruto. Gachagua instead has defended himself saying the president is frustrated that the people from the central region have turned away from him.

Gachagua disclosed warning Ruto not to “touch the mountain” but could not listen to him.

“We know Ruto is unhappy, frustrated, and bitter that the people of Mt. Kenya have left him. This problem is of his own making,” said Gachagua

“We are nationalist and it’s insulating for the president to go around the country calling him tribalist.”

Gachagua’s reiteration comes days after Ruto called him a tribalist in his recent tour in western Kenya region.
