Governor Arati sacks 2 corrupt morgue attendants

Kisii County Governor Simba Arati has sacked two morgue attendants of Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital (KTTH). This was triggered by the recent uproar from the public over the state of the mortuary.

Arati said the two have been managing the mortuary in an unproffesional way. He revealed to the public during an impromptu visit to the facility said the two, among other vices engaged in corruption deals.

“We have brought in a new mortuary attendant from one of the best mortuaries in the country to manage this facility,” Arati assured the public.

The Governor noted that they have a challenge in terms of the capacity in which the morgue can take. He said the morgue can handle only 72 bodies against the hundreds of bodies it receives.
