Kenya national team Harambee Stars has emerged victorious in their debut match that was played on Sunday at Kasarani against the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Harambee Stars secured their winning goal courtesy of Austin Odhiambo during the final lapse of the first half.
The head of state President William Ruto who was in attendance praised the boys for a brilliant match adding that Kenya were throwing their full support behind them.
“We salute Harambee Stars for an outstanding and entertaining display of talent. Your victory today against the Democratic Republic of the Congo is the beginning of what promises to be a historic chapter in Kenyan football.”
