According to Ng’ang’a, a significant number of women left his church after he unveiled Murugi, disappointed that they were not chosen by the outspoken pastor.

Renowned city preacher and Neno Evangelism founder, James Ng’ang’a, has revealed that he lost more than 700 members of the  congregation after introducing his new wife, Murugi Maina, to the church.

According to Ng’ang’a, a significant number of women left his church after he unveiled Murugi, disappointed that they were not chosen by the outspoken pastor.

“Even some of the ushers walked out, wondering why I didn’t choose them. I lost around 400 people,” Ng’ang’a said during a recent church service.

The preacher did not mince his words when addressing those who had hoped to win his heart, making it clear that his decision was final.

Ng’ang’a further explained that the anticipation surrounding his plans to remarry, following the death of his first wife, had led to a surge in female followers attending his services. Many of these women, he claimed, were hoping to catch his attention and potentially become his next wife.

“When I was planning to marry my wife, the church faced a major challenge. It was packed, especially with women. Several approached me, as it often happens when you have both anointing and wealth. Women will come into your life, and they are everywhere,” Ng’ang’a stated.

The preacher has faced criticism, particularly from his detractors, over the age difference between him and his new wife, with some arguing that there is a significant gap between them.

Despite the backlash, Ng’ang’a has remained firm in his decision and continues to lead his church, asserting that his personal choices are his own and should be respected.
