EX Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua distanced himself from the chaos that was witnessed on Wednesday, June 25,2025 during the Gen Z anniversary protest .
Gachagua says he was watching the protest from his home and had nothing to do with the destruction of property across the nation. Adding that he had no business of showing up in the streets.
“I am not their leader , I am not their financier though I support their course,”
“Saying I funded the protest is being completely misinformed. Gen Z protests don’t need anyone to finance them. It’s misleading Kenyans to imagine that Rigathi Gachagua can coordinate activities in 26 counties at the same time.”
Goons came at 6 pm and
“I don’t have the capacity to protect people in Nairobi. I have no such capacity.”
