A middle-aged woman from Kitengela in Kajiado County, Olivia Nasaren has been arraigned in court today after stabbing her daughter to death.
Kajiado Law Court Chief MAgistrate Jane Kamau ordered Olivia to be detained for 10 days to allow detectives to complete their investigations.
The Bachelor of Commerce student stabbed her two-year daughter more than 100 times before eating her intestines and kidney.
Efforts by neighbors to salvage the situation were futile since she had locked herself with two padlocks. By the time of the incident, her parents were not at home.
Nasaren says she has undergone much with her daughter and hates herself.
