Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has finally appeared in public domain putting to a rest speculation over his fallout with boss President William Ruto.
Kenyans online have been raising queries over the whereabouts of the DP who was missing in key events that Ruto attended.
Kindiki’s first public appearance in 2025 was during the wedding ceremony of Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano’s son in Tigoni, Kiambu County. He claimed the President had given him “a few days off” and that he’s back and feeling full of energy.
“I am left with a few hours,my holiday is coming to an end and therefore I need to enjoy what is left,” Kindiki said.
Despite signifying that everything is alright, Kindiki stepping out wearing dark sunglasses has raised more speculation over his condition. For the longest time, the second in command is not a person who wears glasses.
The former Interior Cabinet Secretary urged the public to ignore all the lies being peddled online.
Kindiki wearing glasses especially dark ones fuels speculation over recent rumours that he was slapped with his boss aide.
Though Kindiki claims that he was given some days off to rest by his boss, during the end year party at Kisii state lodge, the deputy president’s seat was visibly present though it’s occupant was absent.
