Nepal Parliament Burnt As Prime Minister Resigns

Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has resigned from his post, following natinationwide unrest that engulfed the country for two days now.

The Prime Minister resigned following a massive demonstration of youthful protestors who were against social media ban put in place by the government. Nepal residents especially the Gen Z’s were exposing the massive corruption by the government on social media.

“I have resigned from the post of prime minister with effect from today… in order to take further steps towards a political solution and resolution of the problems,” Sharma Oli letter to Nepal’w President reads.

The protestors breached the Nepal Parliament and set it on fire . At least 19 people were killed in the demos.

So far the government has announced lifting the bannon social media but normalcy haven’t resumed.
