Former Nigeria president Olesagun Obasanjo has revealed that Raila Odinga has a better chance to clinch the African Union (AU) chairman.
Speaking during a Jeff Koinange live on Citizen Tv, Obasanjo said Raila has the experience required to be the chairman.
Obasanjo has a close relationship with Raila and believes the former Kenya Prime Minister has a chance just like any other candidate. Though he can’t preempt the outcome, Obasanjo believes Raila can easily bag the position.
“Raila has a better chance like anyone else. We should never rest campaigning for him,” Obasanjo said.
The former Nigeria president said Raila rank enables him to knock any door and seek audience with any president, prime minister or head of state.
He further added that people across the continent should know what he has to offer.
“We need somebody who can build a future team, I believe Raila has that,” claimed
Obasanjo hints that the process so far is not looking bad to the people they have talked to.
