Rigathi Gachagua Allies Kicked From Key Leadership Committee

Impeached Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua Allies have been Kicked out of key house committees in the Senate in an effort of President William Ruto to hold onto more powers in the upper house and subsequently reducing his former deputy influence in the Kenya Kwanza government.

Among the first casualties are Kiambu Senator Karungo Thang’wa and Meru Senator Methu Muhia who held the chairman position of the Transport and Lands committees respectively. The two Gachagua’s soldiers stood by him when he was facing his impeachment motion and never forsaken him after his outster.

Kiambu Senator embraced his removal from the transport committee saying it’s a relief that will see him serve Kenya.

“I sincerely thank the Yellow party for freeing up my schedule. Chairing the Roads & Transport Committee at the Senate was great, but I guess progress was just too much to handle,” said Karungo.
