Former deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is now advocating for the impeachment of President William Ruto after he was impeached as deputy President.
Gachagua’s move comes after he changes his stand on the case that is before the High Court which wanted both him and Ruto impeached.
With a new objective , Gachagua has teamed up with the complaint to push for Ruto Impeachment via a popular vote, referendum. The former second in command has also changed his legal representative and wants to be represented by a different lawyer who will defend and represent his new stand.
Initially the two were represented by lawyer Fred Ngatia. Ngatia had requested the case to be closed citing lack of evidence.
The case was presented before high Court magistrate Chacha Mwita by Kibe Mungai.
