Ruto defends dismissing the entire cabinet

Kenyan President William Ruto has today promised to start planning his government afresh. Speaking in Elgeyo Marakwet, the president said it’s everyone’s duty to come together and move the country forward.

The first in command hinted about making an inclusive government that will accommodate everyone.

Ruto sentiments came when he fired his entire cabinet on Thursday , last week. This is after unrest being experienced in different parts of the country. The majority of demonstrators who are Gen Z’s were demanding accountability from the government. They accused most cabinet secretaries of arrogance and displaying flashy lifestyles online when the majority are struggling to meet their needs.

Kenyans have urged Ruto to pick technocrats, consider youths in his next cabinet.
