In a sudden turn of events Rigathi Gachagua has revealed to Kenyans how President William Ruto offered him a bribe in order to resign as the Deputy President.
Diring an interview on 4th Tuesday 2025 with media Mulembe Fm, Sulwe Fm & Vuuka Fm stations, Gachagua claimed President William Ruto offered him KSH 2 billion to resign from his position.
“Ruto was telling me to resign so I could be given 2 billion, security, a salary and have a chance to vie again,” Gachagua said.
The former Mathira Member of Parliament disclosed that legislators close to the president convinced him to pick the offer to create a room for him to be eligible to run in the 2027 polls.
Though Ruto accused Gachagua of tribal politics,the former DP insists that disagreements with his boss over various projects were the root of their falling out.
