Speaker Wetang’ula Defends Empowerment Intitiavtives

The National Assemble Speaker Moses Wetang’ula has defended his presence in the now trending empowerment events across the country that are led by the Kenya Kwanza leaders.

The speaker says the government empowerment Initiatives are constitution and he is not breaking any law when he attends such functions.

Wetang’ula clarified that he is neural in the political landscape and he is guided by the condition that mandates a speaker to be neutral.

The former Bungoma Senator cited Article 106 of the Constitution which permits the Speaker of the National Assembly to maintain political ties as long as they uphold fairness, neutrality and the integrity of Parliament.
