The church and state should work together, Ruto says

President William Ruto has urged the church and state to work together for the benefit of everyone.

Ruto sentiments come days after The Catholic church rejected donations from him and his allies.

‎The President while addressing church congregation in Kajido at the inter denomination church service said Kenya wount achieve it’s full potential if the people are divided. Spreading the unity call,Ruto urged the church to work with the government

‎”There’s no competition between the state and the church, we are partners,” Ruto said.

‎The National National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wa however dismissed the Catholic Church statement that they had returned the donations.
