Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir is happy that the opposition is in a good working relationship with the government.
The governor was speaking during the President William Ruto tour to the county to launch various projects in the region.
“We were not born to be tear-gassed because we are supporters of Raila Odinga; we deserve to be able to be in government,” said Abdulswamad Nassir.
Abdulswamad who is the Orange Democratic Party (ODM) deputy party leader sentiments came to a time when his party leader Raila Odinga held a critical meeting with the president.
ODM party fronted four of its soldiers to the Kenya Kwanza government after president William Ruto dissolved his entire cabinet following Gen Z protests against the controversial financial bill in 2024.
