William Ruto pledges more church donations

President William Ruto is not slowing down his drive of  generous church donations anytime soon despite the backlash he faces. The President says he is devoted in building and empowering more religious institutions.

During the 8th anniversary celebration and thanksgiving service at AIC Fellowship Annex in Eldoret City, Ruto said that it is the devil at work in the country who doesn’t want to see the church progressing.

‎“Satan has become very arrogant in Kenya. There is a controversy in our nation about giving in our churches and building sanctuaries. We are going to build God’s Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against Kenya,” said Ruto.

The commander in chief urged the clergy to be firm and brush off any threats especially those from the internet.

“‎Do not be intimidated by those on social media who are trying to tell us that we cannot build the house of God.”

Ruto supported his sentiments of helping build many churches in Kenya by donating KSH 20 million to the AIC Fellowship Annex.

President Ruto made a similar promise to Jesus Winner Chapel, Nairobi and prompted social media users to lay plans to Occupy the church.
