Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa has predicted that Gachagua will celebrate Christmas 2024 without his job, anticipating that the Deputy President will be ousted by then.

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua may not retain his position in the Kenya Kwanza government as political rumblings over his impeachment gain momentum. A motion to oust him is reportedly taking shape, with discussions intensifying on political platforms across the country.

Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa has predicted that Gachagua will celebrate Christmas 2024 without his job, anticipating that the Deputy President will be ousted by then. Barasa stated that he will attend Parliament for only two critical sessions, both of which are directly linked to Gachagua’s position.

Meanwhile, Uasin Gishu Women Representative Gladys Shollei has declared that she will lead the charge for Gachagua’s impeachment. Shollei reassured President William Ruto of her loyalty, vowing to defend him from political challenges while issuing a stark warning to his deputy.

“Rigathi Gachagua, I am putting you on notice today. I want to confirm that you will be impeached, and I shall be at the forefront of that impeachment motion.”

The brewing political storm has put Gachagua’s future in the government in question, with his critics claiming his fate is already sealed.
