Raila Odinga Sole Holiday In CBD

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has claimed that today the country lost about 2 billion shillings. This comes after the Azimio led mass action took place in Nairobi.

Raila Odinga announced recently that today was going to be a public holiday. This is after being promted by his Azimio La Umoja One Kenya alliance running mate Martha Karua.

What was seen today in different parts of the country is not pleasing. Businesses were shut down, normalcy in the affected towns disrupted among other issues.

This infamous Maandamano came at a time when students and pupils were resuming from mid-term break. Probably the majority who use Nairobi to report back to school never did so. In the name of peaceful protests, a comrade from Maseno has been shot dead.

The opposition leader says the protests will be held every Monday until their grievances are heard. This means more resources every monday to equip the police officers, more revenue loss and vandalism of property.

Among key issues protesters are calling about is the high cost of living. Unless there is no hidden card, there is no problem with peaceful protests. However, life’s shouldn’t be lost because of few people who want to gain .
