Matiang’i eyes top seat in 2027

Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has laid out measures in his realization of running for presidency in 2027.

Matiang’i who was referred to a no nonsense CS is reportedly seen as a foreign company to aid his campaign. The firm is said to have been critical for the Duma Boko win in the Botswana Presidential race.

If Matiang’i who months earlier said he was available for any position to serve his county will successfully be on the ballot,he will be challenging a person whom he doesn’t share good history with, William Ruto. Towards the end of Uhuru Kenyatta administration, Matiang’i welded more power than Ruto who was then the Deputy President.

Matiang’i who has never held any elective position,left a significant mark in the education docket when he was appointed the Cabinet Secretary of Education. His spirited efforts in revamping the education sector made him the darling of many citizens.

His track records have cemented his name in history books and a section of Kenyans believe going for the top job in the country suits him.

The 2027 election has attracted many candidates including Inject party leader Morara Kebaso. Other likely contenders for the presidency include Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

Much is not in the limelight about impeached Deputy President Rigathi Gachagu but he might have an influence in the 2027 polls.
