Ex Cabinet Secretary Dr.Fred Matiang’i has not yet found a suitable party that he will use to seek the presidency. For a long time, this has been a question that he almost never evades when he holds a presser.
So far,many parties including that of his former boss Uhuru Kenyatta have shown willingness to support him fully and make him their presidential candidate. However, the no nonsense ex CS has clarified that he is in consultation to find an ideal party that resonates with his plan.
During one of his addresses with Kenyans in Diaspora, Matiang’i revealed plans of including them in his plan.
”I have a promise, and you can hold me to account, that when I am done with my consultation and I have identified the party I am going to run on, I have promises I will present people from the diaspora on the list of nominations from my party to the IEBC.”
Fred Matiang’i who is seeking to succeed Dr. William Ruto in 2027 is still at his early stages of planning for his presidential bid. This will be his first attempt for an elective office in Kenya.
