The secret of packaging in your business

My friend visited me at my home the other day and admired the glass I served him with water. He liked the glass and asked how much money it had set me back. To his surprise, he said I was overcharged. The amount I paid for the set of two glasses was exxergarated than the normal price.

I wasn’t offended because after all the damage had been caused already. Coming to think about it, why did I pay for the products at a premium rate when I could get them at an affordable rate elsewhere? The seller who sold me the cups was on top of the sales game. Though the glasses were of moderate price, the packaging is what made me pay the premium price.

Packaging always plays a role in me as a buyer. It somehow helps me to break the dilemma of buying from trader X instead of trader Y. I will definitely be a returning customer of online sellers who package their products better. This is one reason according to several reviews why online stores like Jumia and Kilimall are in business to date.

Personally, I will freely recommend any seller who does proper packaging on their products to my network. Although this comes with an extra cost to the seller, some customers wouldn’t mind paying an extra cost for the product.

Why do you think, a particular brand of water is expensive in a high-end restaurant and affordable at a local vendor near you?
