President William Ruto has expressed confidence that he will win the 2027 elections, stating that no credible competitor has emerged to challenge him.
President Ruto said his main rival had been Raila Odinga, and that with Odinga’s passing, his path to reelection would be significantly easier.
“The late Raila Odinga was my only formidable opponent in the 2027 elections,” Ruto said, adding that defeating former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and other members of the United Opposition would be “an easy task.”
