Meru governor Kiraitu Murungi is set to launch a political party known as devolution empowerment on Saturday.
Kiraitu says this is the only way for the mount Kenya region to have a bargaining tool come next years election.
The party leadership is composed of Watson Kimathi as the party leader with Mugambi Imanyara as the secretary general and prof Lenny Kivuti as the national chairman.
According Kiraitu the move is informed by the bitter lessons he learnt in the jubilee party. Meanwhile kilifi governor Amason Kingi is also on a mission to popularize his pan African alliance party. While launching the Pamoja African youth alliance convention at the party headquarters in kilifi town,he called on the youths and coast residents to board the political vehicle as it is the only way to push their agendas.
