Former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu had been sentenced to 12 years in prison or pay KSH 53.5 million fine in connection with his graft case involving KSH 588 million .
Consequently his wife Susan was ordered to serve a one-year jail term and Sh500,000 fine in the similar graft case.
On Wednesday, 12th January 2025 Ferdinand Waititu was convicted in graft charges. The court found him guilty of conflict of interest and dealing with suspect property.
