In an effort to fight and end femicide in Kenya, President William Ruto has out measures that will see the alarming cases dealt with
The president promised women leaders KSH 100 million to boost their campaign against femicide and gender based violence across the country.
“Matters psychological support and safe spaces for women and children are a priority in my office. Through the women’s right advisor, we are launching a safe home safe space campaign during the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence. ”
The initiative that will champion women safety is set to start on 25 November.
In the same breath,Ruto ordered the police to deal with femicide cases swiftly.
