DPP Withdraws Murder Case Against Sarah Wairimu

Written by Vincent Ombati

Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji seeks to withdraw murder case against Sarah Wairimu and her co-accused Peter Karanja. Instead, the DPP wants the murder case be treated as an inquest to be filed in the Chief Magistrate’s Court-Milimani, Nairobi.

Sarah Wairimu was the main suspect over killing his estranged husband Tob Cohen back in September, 2019. The businessman’s body was found in his Kitisuru home in Nairobi on September 13, 2019 tied in a nylon paper and decomposing in a septic tank.

Tob Cohen’s family has oppressed the move via their lawyers Danstan Omari and Cliff Ombeta. On the other side, Philip Murgor, Wairimu’s has welcomed the move saying the investigations were not done comprehensively. Adding that her client will persue legal actions to those who violated her rights.
